About Edo University Iyamho

Edo State University Iyamho, EUI as often referred, is a state government-owned tertiary institution. The university was incepted in the year 2016 by the Adams Aliyu Oshiomole, the then governor of the state. Edo state university is located at Iyamho, a town in Etsako West Local Government Area, Edo State.

On 27 March 2014, the Edo State House of Assembly passed a bill for the establishment of a University of Science and Technology at Uzairue. Due to the need to make it to a general all-inclusive university, the then university was changed to Edo University and having its location to Iyamho. Furthermore, the university earned an approval by the Nigerian University Commission, NUC as Nigeria’s 41st University.

Admission Requirements of Edo University, Iyamho

The admissions of Edo University is through the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, and as such the university has JAMB cut off mark and other admission criteria for candidates applying to the institution. The admission process of the university is open to candidates who sat for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and has a minimum UTME score of 160, as this is the schools cut-off mark. This mark is only applicable for all Courses with the exception of Medicine and Surgery which is set at 200. This means that Edo University cut-off mark is 200 for Medicine and Surrgery and 160 for all other courses which are all stated above.
