In every game between opponents, there will always be a winner, not all will actually make it. Surely, it's not that the unlucky category didn't perform up to par, but it just that a little effort ensured the winners becoming victorious.
However, that's not the end of the story for those who came out behind the winners. But they will most times be given another chance or shifting to another challenge. Either the case, its all squared if it happens so.

Candidates applying for admission into various university's programme through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board are liken to the scenario I highlight above. If you peradventure didn't make it to your most preferred university (I.e your first choice selection), there is another opportunity to stay ashore in the ship.
Some universities, sadly not all, admit candidates from JAMB after finishing the first choice admission.  If you wouldn't want to waste yet another year in the house, then its just to look at these schools and apply into the one that suits your course area and needs.

Few years back, JAMB kicked out the second choice admission from their portal, due to the less number of candidates that uses this medium. But interestingly, the story has changed today as the reverse is the case. Nowadays, many candidates up to two million are seeking admission into the five hundred thousand space. So it means that more than one million will go without being admitted? With the huge numbers, most institutions see the need to open the chance for admissions for a second choice.
We have come up with this write up to inform you on the universities that do second choice admissions in Nigeria, and also how to go about the process, so as to avoid staying another year in the house writing UTME again.

Second Choice Admission

Let's know what this second choice admission of a thing is all about.
It basically means that you have a second choice and chance to go for admission again still in the same year if eventually your first choice selection didn't go through.
The thing you should know about is that no one including JAMB will tell you if you choose a particular university as a second choice, that you won’t be admitted. This certainly means that not all institutions offer admission on second choice. As such we've come up with this which is the main purpose of this article, to show use the right way and choice, so you don’t make mistakes of choosing universities that won’t offer you admission on applying  as second choice.
